What are the chances he gave me HSV-1?

I've just been tested positive for hsv1 on the genitals. I had a small outbreak and I was swabbed for it. I have been sleeping with this guy for about 3 months. He was tested when we first got together and he was negative and so was I. I have been told that it can take 3 months for herpes to show up on blood tests. What are the chances he gave me the herpes and if he didn't what are the chances I gave it too him. We had sex about 5 days before I broke out in blisters. He has been tested today and we are waiting for his results
