Okay i have some questions i was recently diagnosed with hsv 1 and 2 .....?

Im really freaked out about sex now but i am having protected sex with one guy i known forever and he knows i have hsv... but i wana know u guyz opinions.. what does it mean when they say u can catch hiv easier ??? And also what do you guys think about this guy still having protected sex with me after i broke the newz to him i have hsv and still can catch it with condoms??.. we alsways protected ourselves i known him for 5 years but sometimes i feel like maybe hes the one that gave it to me ....and also i have the hsv 1 but i never had any cold sores why?? and i know you can get it from kissing maybe thats how i got it cause i never gave oral sex.... No mean answers plz
