Is is too soon to take a hpt?

I am going through IVF for the first time. I took the ovidrel shot on May 31st @9pm, ER was at 7:30 on June 2nd and we had 2 embryos grade B both blastocysts transfered on June 7th. I couldn't wait and took a FRER today and it was neg. :( I do not have any preg symptoms and actually feel pretty good. They said they would be some spotting from implantation but I did not have any :(. My BETA is scheduled for June 16th. Am I testing too soon? Could the test be wrong?
