If HSV-2 first outbreak is mild, is there still a high chance of reoccurring outbreaks?

I was just diagnosed with HSV-2 genital herpes, my first outbreak was so mild I thought that I just cut myself shaving. Since it was so mild, are my chances of spreading it and having other outbreaks just as high as they would've been with a more severe first outbreak?
