Can herpes come in a rash form?

I've been getting these rashes when my period comes. sometimes i get them and sometimes i dont. but recently (the passed 2-3 periods) ive been getting this really red and painful rash. its only during my period. i've been to the doctors for it and she said it was just a regular rash. for some reason i dont think shes right and i dont have peace of mind about it. i have HSV 1 (currently have the worst break out on my lip ive ever had) and im scared i might have HSV 2 (genital herpes). she did not test my blood or do a swatch of this rash. (i got check about 2 yrs ago and im still getting these rashes every so often. sometimes every month during my period) the first time i got it, it lasted like 3 weeks! can genital herpes come in a rash? the rash is really red and painful. but no blisters or scabbing. it does not hurt when i pee and it never comes in a blister and never scabs over. its just a really red painful rash. thank you for listening & answering if you do.
